Fast & easy recipes for lazy people like myself.

Baseless Pizza – Seafood Flavour

Are you a pizza lover that's also a little bit carb conscious? I am too, and I just love the flavour of pizza, but I always eat way too much of it whenever I do. I also tend to try and finish all of my food wherever possible, which is a problem when it comes to pizza crust. Presumably, you've seen my other recipes which use wraps as a base, and more recently soft taco shells too. I just love pizza, and my favourite part of any pizza is the topping. Oh, and cheese. I love cheese. By making some concessions, I'm still able to enjoy pizza flavours whilst trimming down. This recipe is my latest innovation in trimming down the pizza calories whilst still eating all of the toppings. Although this is a baseless pizza - seafood flavour, watch out for other flavours. I will try more because this was such a success.

Ingredients
  • Spaghetti bolognese or other tomato-based pasta sauce
  • 1-2 tbsp of pizza base sauce
  • 100-150g (max) of light shredded tasty cheese
  • Mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 heads of broccoli
  • 2-3 zucchinis
  • 1 red capsicum
  • Seafood marinara mix, 500g
  • Salt & pepper
Method
  1. In a baking tray, chop all vegetables and mix together
  2. Mix in seafood, sauces and 2/3 of the cheese
  3. Add salt & pepper, mix well
  4. Bake for 20 mins on 180 degrees, until the seafood is ready and the cheese is melted
  5. Sprinkle more cheese on top and melt for 1-2 mins (my oven is fan-forced, it may take longer if yours isn't)
  6. Serve and enjoy 🙂
